| I'm also really excited for RP. Not only that, but an old member and possible one or more new members are interested, too. Karth and I (mostly Karth) have been putting together as much information as we can about the Force Awakens setting (this thread). I think we already have all we need to get started and I'm looking forward to it as soon as work permits. I might post slowly these days, but steadily at least. And that wins the race, guys. That wins the race.
Also do yourself a favor Adam and preorder New Republic: Bloodlines instead. Better author writing a sequel to a way better book than Aftermath. You just know Chuck Wendig is going to make a list of everything people didn't like about Aftermath and then include twice as much of it in Aftermath: Life Debt because that's the kind of person he is.

| Even with the Visual Dictionary, there's still a scant amount of in-depth information out there. It'll fill out in time, hopefully.

| Thank you for pulling my attention to that novel, Jace. I'll add it to my to-read list, along with Chuck's stuff. As annoying as he can be as a writer, it's still info. Haha.
That being said, I wonder how much information I'm missing by skipping the 'young adult' novels and looking for the 'actual' novels for people our age.Added (28 Dec 2015, 0:43 AM) --------------------------------------------- Also, I can't seem to find the Visual Dictionary on google play.

| Lost Stars was in no way, shape, or form a young adult book exclusively. I don't know why they've called it that, but they did it yet again with Before the Awakening, calling it a "picture book" for children aged 8 to 12 despite the fact it's heavy with politics and background information about the setting that children can't possibly find interesting. It has three short stories, and each story has one picture in it. That makes it a "picture book"? Seriously who is rating these things?
As for the Visual Dictionary, I'm guessing you probably can't get an e-version of it because unlike Before the Awakening it actually is a picture book. I was going to buy it at Barnes & Noble but instead I'm just depending on Karth to mine it for nuggets.

| The definition of a children's book has changed dramatically.
So, I assume the new RP setting will be in the Awakens Era?

| I'd post hi-res photos of every page if I could, but I fear the long legal arm of the House of Mouse.
That and I'm lazy.

| I loved that Kylo ended up being an angsty teenager who listens to Linkin Park and whines about how dad doesn't understand him. Makes for an interesting villain, imo.
And TR-8R is the best stormtrooper in history, so glad he's become a meme.

| Dude, Kylo Ren was a direct hearkening back to his (grandfather) lineage as portrayed by Hayden Christensen in Episode II and more so in III.
And yes, TR-8R is possibly the best trooper in existence, with the unnamed Death Star Gunner who pulled the trigger on Alderaan being a close second.

| He felt like Anakin, yeah, but somehow I actually enjoyed him compared to Prequel Anakin. Better dialogue, perhaps.

| Oh, I agree. The writers for prequel Anakin (well let's be honest, there's Anakin and Darth Vader), kinda screwed Hayden Christensen over with his lines. Then again, it could also be his portrayal, but I think he did his role decently well.

| George Lucas can't write dialogue that human beings would actually say in the real world. I guess you could make the argument that he wrote the prequels as an overblown soap opera (seriously, that's his excuse for the shot/reverse shot direction and horrible dialogue) but they butchered Darth Vader as a character. Now, when I watch the OT, it pisses me off that I'm imagining Hayden Christensen underneath that helmet.
