Jaxon was wearing a tan-colored attire that has indicated he is a simple scavenger trying to survive every single day. On this particular day, he had scavenged enough ship parts from old, wrecked ships somewhere deep within the jungle to earn enough credits for food. He would go to the market square of Iziz to buy some food for the day, when everything changed for him. There were a squad of First Order stormtroopers moving about their daily routine patrols. Jaxon never liked them that much because of how they had treated the native population. However, he always minded his own business because well...he always wanted to help but he had been worried about his own safety. He had just completed a usual exchange of ship parts for credits, and was on his way back to his tent somewhere inside Iziz, when he spotted a male Sullustan with a leather jacket getting beaten on by a squad of stormtroopers as well as being called all kinds of names. If this was just any another day, he probably would not even think about stepping to assist this sentient being. It took Jaxon a few moments to decide whether to interfere. He had finally decided when the stormtroopers called the man a traitor. The scavenger was fed up about how the First Order has treated sentient beings in general. Besides, there was something within that was tugging at him. At the time, he did not realize it was the Force talking. All he knew was the fact that his gut feeling was trying to tell him something.

One of the stormtroopers was about to put the Sullustan in cufflinks when Jaxon called for them. "Hey! Why don't you guys pick on someone your own size?" The squad commander chuckled wryly, before signaling three other stormtroopers to leave the Sullustan and surround Jaxon. "You're going to wish you didn't get involved, scavenger scum." The stormtroopers dropped their typical F-11D blaster rifles, as well as their Z6 riot control batons. They thought of Jaxon as a simple, weak scavenger who couldn't take on four fully-trained stormtroopers. Their assumption might have been right, if he doesn't possess a couple of things: A ) the Force as his ally, and B ) he know how to fight unlike many scavengers. The first stormtrooper attempted to throw out a punch from Jaxon's right side, but it was blocked with a little difficulty. Then, the scavenger threw a punch toward the first one before pulling him toward another stormtrooper so two would run into each other. The two of four stormtroopers lost balance for a moment, while the young lad kicked another one from his behind. Finally, the squad commander would take out a combat knife. With the rest of the squad being off balance for a moment, he was briefly left one-on-one with the commander. The commander would extend his hand out in an attempt to stab Jaxon in the chest, but failed. Jaxon barely dodged before taking ahold of the arm and breaking it, taking the knife and stabbing the chest in the process. A scream would be heard, before the commander was tossed onto the ground. Upon realizing that he may be a capable fighter, the rest of the squad decided to take the F-11D blaster rifles up once more. Jaxon tried to pull out his DL-44 heavy blaster pistol in response, but he was a little too late. Fortunately, they had lost track of the Sullustan of which would shoot the squad down. Of course, it was not so precise as one from a stormtrooper. Two were killed, but and the fourth one was simply injured badly by being shot in the stomach.

Jaxon would let out a sharp exhale, and shook his head just once. "Thank you." He turned his gaze toward the Sullustan and there was a response in Sullustese. Some people might have some difficulty understanding the language, but it wasn't that big of a problem for the scavenger. He understood several languages, and it was useful to have when a lot of traders came to Onderon for business purposes. Whether he had the ability to understand and speak different languages because of the Force, or because of the interaction with traders as well as studying, it might have been both. Both men did not have time to introduce to each other, as one of the injured stormtroopers would radio in. "Two suspects on the run. Stormtroopers down. Request immediate assistance, over."

Immediately, the Sullustan admitted, in his native language, he is a soldier for the Resistance and needs a pilot to get him to the Resistance base. "I'm a pilot! I know a ship we can use. Follow me!" His new friend would pick up one of the F-11Ds, before Jaxon began sprinting for a private hangar bay not far from where the fight occurred. Jaxon used to try and scavenge parts that were thrown outside this hangar bay, and he peeked inside once and saw a ship. That was the only place he could think of getting a ship. After minutes of zigzagging through alleyways and sidewalks, they managed to reach the very same hangar bay with additional reinforcements looking to catch up. Upon entering the hangar bay, the Sullustan paused for a moment. The nonhuman looked at Jaxon and spoke in Sullustese. It was his response toward the ship model, which is a YT-1300 light freighter. He shook his head, "I know it looks like it hasn't flown in a long time, but it's not like we got a choice. Let's go!" The scavenger rushed up the ramp first, pushing a button to have the ramp closed up. The Sullustan managed to get inside before the closing, as Jaxon headed straight for the cockpit. His friend went for the bottom gunner seat, as the engines were revved up.

By then, the stormtroopers had shown up and began shooting at the ship. Jaxon punched a few buttons and began to pull the control back a little bit, and the gunner would fire back a couple times before the ship took off. "There's old gunners position all over the city! Fire at them if needed!" He shouted into the radio, pulling one of the controls back to increase the speed rapidly. They needed to get off the planet and out of the system before they are safe. The Sullustan had put on a headset, and warned the scavenger of soon incoming TIE fighters. "I know! I know!" The ship managed to leave the city safely, but it was not for the long. At least, they did not have to worry about the gun turrets. IT did not take long before a couple of TIE fighters were right on their tail. Jaxon could see a few green laser bolts firing past the ship through the view of cockpit. He could feel the ship rock a couple of times, because they were hit by the fighters. Jaxon would keep one hand on the flight control while trying to reaching out to push a button to activate shields. Upon doing so, he would keep the ship flying low and steering left and right. Jaxon tried flying so low that the ship were barely skimming the trees. Of course, this was an attempt to shake off the TIEs. The nonhuman was trying his best to shoot down fighters, but without any luck.

They were approaching a mountain, and Jaxon would push one of the controls forward. The revving toned down, as the ship speeder slowed down before he turned the flight control hard left. Before the YT-1300 light freighter would crash, it flew immediately to the left. Both fighters were trying to keep up with Jaxon's excellent piloting. One of the fighters were skimming so closely along the mountain, as the Sullustan's shooting made it difficult for the fighter to maintain such piloting. By accident, the fighter skimmed against the mountain before spiraling out of control and crashing. "One down, one to go!" Jaxon spoke into the radio, pulling one of the conttrols back once more. The YT-1300 were back to the attack speed, but Jaxon still need to figure out a way to shake the last fighter off. The Sullustan wasn't that good at shooting, so it was not best to rely solely on shooting. This was going to take teamwork, and the scavenger looked out the cockpit window and saw an area he was familiar with. The scavenger would shout into the radio yet again, "I got an idea! Shoot for the trees right ahead of us, then wait for an opportunity to go for the kill! You'll know when!" The Sullustan complied with Jaxon, shooting at the trees they were approaching toward. There was a couple of reasons for this move. Jaxon would push the ship to fly as fast as she could, before pulling off a half-roll. Then the scavenger all of sudden slowed down the speed as much as he could. A flock of wild Ruping would scatter all over the skies in the space between the YT-1300 light freighter and the lone TIE fighter. The enemy pilot were thrown off by the flock that he did not pay attention to where the light freighter was. This only took a couple moments, but a couple moments was all the Sullustan gunner needed. The next thing in sight was another explosion in the low skies.

Jaxon pulled back the speed control for the last time, immediately pulling away from the nearby explosion. "Yes! We did it!" The YT-1300 light freighter would fly into the skies, until it blasted out of planetary atmosphere. The scavenger smiled, it had been a while since he had seen the stars while being in space. By then, the Resistance soldier would get into the cockpit. "Where's the Resistance base?" The Sullustan responded yet again in his native tongue, "Ah, Illeenium System. Got it." Jaxon would dial in the coordinates before the YT-1300 light freighter entered hyperspace.

It was such a long trip to Illeenium System, home of the secret Resistance Base. One would think that the Resistance fighter and the scavenger would have plenty of time to talk, even if they were strangers to each other. However, that was far from the case. "If we don't fix this garbage soon, we'll drift lifelessly in space forever!" Jaxon barked at the Sullustan, as he was working inside the engine room trying to save several different systems, including hyperdrive, life support system, et cetera, et cetera. His new friend would respond in usual native tongue, as if he wanted to help but doesn't know how to fix a ship. "Just stay in the cockpit and grab the controls in case we drop out of hyperspace!" Jaxon was not usually the one for giving out orders, but their lives were on the line and he was the only one on the ship that knew how to fix it. The Sullustan complied with his wish and moved for the cockpit. as he began to get annoyed by the series of alarming sounds.

It was difficult trying to fix several different systems that had urgent problems at once, especially alone. The life support system was the easiest, as he managed to reroute it into one of the alternative pipes to avoid being gassed with carbon monoxide. It was the most important part of the ship, especially when traveling in space. Nonetheless, this gave the scavenger less time to work on hyperdrive before it reaches a critical point where the ship would either drop out of hyperspace suddenly with no power and control at all or getting shredded into pieces over several star systems. "Damn it!" Jaxon had to reroute the power to the secondary power to prevent the primary source from overloading and possibly blowing up. It took several minutes, and a couple cuts on his hands before hyperdrive began to normalize. The hardest parts were over, and he had let out a sigh of relief. However, it was not over as he had to fix several unnecessary parts. A single part of the system might be harmless, but several different parts could severely harm the YT-1300 light freighter. After an additional couple hours of finishing up, he left the engine room and went into the cockpit.

The scavenger would plop onto the chair next to the Sullustan, as if he was exhausted. Who wouldn't be, after sacrificing the only life he ever knew, taking a risk for someone he barely knew, and fixing a ship that isn't his at all. The nonhuman spoke in native tongue yet again, "What is your name, boy?" The scavenger shifted his gaze and only managed to show a small smile, "Jaxon. What's yours?" He shot back in Galactic Basic, and the Sullustan gave him his name: Zainiab. Zainiab decided to get curious, speaking in Sullustese. "You seems to know how to take care of yourself. You know how to fight, how to fly, and how to fix. You are more resourceful than I am. Why don't you join the Resistance?" Jaxon would shake his head, and would begin to explain. "I did not save you because I wanted to join the Resistance. I will admit that I never liked the First Order based on their actions toward others. But I saved you because it was the right thing to do. I am only good at taking care of myself, and I want to keep it that way Zainiab."

The Sullustan gave a puzzled look, that is if Jaxon could see it. Then continued in Sullustese, "But you are so talented. I see it, and the First Order knows it too. They will be looking for you, because you helped free me. They will be looking for you." Immediately, the scavenger got off the chair. "I said no! I will only drop you off and then find my own way, that's it!" Jaxon stormed out of the cockpit to find some space to himself, he just wanted to be left alone for the time being. He stormed into a rear section of the light freighter, stumbling into one of the storage compartment rooms. Unknowingly, it was the Force at the work here. The scavenger would take a look of the room, where there were numerous boxes scattered throughout. Jaxon would look left and right, there doesn't seem to be anything special about any of those boxes. While he was looking through the room, he stumbled at one of the boxes with one of his feet, which caused him to trip a little bit. While doing so, one of his hands would hit a panel. A mechanical-toned voice would be heard, "Fingerprint scan recognized. Welcome, Jaxon Sky." That took his undivided attention right away, "What in the Force?"

A moment later, there was a hissing sound. There were actually a secret compartment that nobody might have noticed if not investigated thoroughly. Inside it, there was a white plastic-looking box (Knights of the Old Republic Era). The sound of clicking came along, the box came unlocked. Jaxon proceeded to open it up, and inside it lies a holopad and a lightsaber. He had never seen a lightsaber in real life before, just hologram readings that showed pictures of a such weapon. Just as he was about to reach down, the holopad came to life. It had startled him enough to the point where he fell backwards onto the ground. It was probably activated by motion sensors. A hologram appeared, and there were two familiar faces he had not seen in such a long time. It was not since he was last abandoned on Onderon, actually. Jaxon slowly got up as his parents via holographic recording began to speak.

"Hello, son." A familiar tone of Darwin Sky were the first one to be heard. "If you are watching the recording, you have found the secret compartment." Then it was his mother's turn to speak, "My dear, we won't blame you if you won't forgive us for leaving you. But we want you to understand why we did this." His father was wearing a white robes, one that resembled a Jedi Knight. His mother, however, were wearing an attire that of a typical smuggler. The tone shifted right back to his own father, "We left you because we saw a threat to your future." There was an exhale escaping from his father, which reminded Jaxon of his own habit. It must have been genetic. "The First Order's Supreme Leader Snoke sent a dark side faction known as the Knights of Ren on a long campaign to destroy the new generation of Jedi. We left you behind on Onderon to ensure your safety in hope of you carrying the Jedi tradition. You possess the ability to use the Force, and you must find a way to train if there is to be a future for the Jedi." His father stopped speaking, and his mother resumed speaking. "To help in your journey, we have left you with two gifts: your father's lightsaber and my ship. Please don't ruin our treasures. We love you." His mother began to let out a few tears, as his father would say one last thing. "May the Force be with you, my son." The holo recording would deactivate immediately.

The force sensitive would remain stunned for a few moments, before he managed to snap himself out of the zone. Jaxon reached down to grab ahold of his father's lightsaber, analyzing the ancient weapon for a bit before activating it. A blue glow sprang to life, as he stared in amazement. He had heard rumors and stories of a legendary Jedi Master by the name of Luke Skywalker disappearing, but he had never thought of himself becoming a Jedi. Up until then, he had always believed he was a simple scavenger that grew up to rely on himself because his parents did not want him around. The lightsaber would deactivate a moment later, as he turned around and was about to leave the room when he spotted Zainib standing by the doorway with his arms crossed. Jaxon swallowed a gulp and slowly approached the Sullustan. A Sullustese tongue initiated the conversation, "If word ever got out about your identity, the Supreme Leader will stop at nothing to hunt you down." The young force sensitive would stammer quite a bit, "Please don't anyone who I really am. I only find out a moment ago." Zainib turned around and casually walked toward the cockpit, "Relax. The Resistance need you. You need us. We are stronger together, I suggest you take my advice."

Jaxon was about to respond to his new ally when a beeping were heard. He gave the Sullustan a light nod, "We're here." The force sensitive bolted for the cockpit, sitting down and pulled one of the controls back. The stars stopped whizzing by, as the ship gave a gentle rock but that is normal. "Still, I don't want anyone else to know who I really am until I am ready to tell anyone. Please." He would half-beg Zainib to comply with his request, and the Sullustan gave a light nod in return. It was time to begin the new chapter of his life...
