Hosnian Prime, never would there be a more wretched hive of scum an....no, that's not right...a more wretched hive of politics, aside from Coruscant, back in the old days. The planet was the hub of the New Republic, the Capital since the fall of the Empire and the development of the new government since the fall of the Empire. Not that she really remembered much of that, just what her mother and father had told her of it, as she was only a baby during the end of the war, and the forming of the new system. But Hosnian Prime was, unfortunately, where Delia landed for the moment. It was her job, really, that brought her back there. Being a New Republic Intelligence Agent, it was required of her now and again to report back to her superiors. Fortunately for her, sometimes she was out on assignment for months, and was dutifully able to avoid the cosmopolitan planet. High falutin folks like those in the Capital were not her type. In fact, the only Ransom that she could even imagine fitting in there was Daisy, her youngest sister, who had just gotten married to a wealthy businessman, and moved to Chandrila. That was not the kind of life that Delia could have ever led- she was too much like her father. Thankfully, however, she had her mothers looks.

Despite her resistance to being there, Delia had delivered her reports to the main office, and jetted out of there as fast as she could. Her place, a small apartment on the far side of the city, was barely lived in, and she rarely had food in the house. With that in mind, she used her comm and ordered some Mandalorian food on the way home to have it delivered. It was convenient, and happened to be her favorite. With her flame red hair braided back and out of her face, she navigated the open topped, sleek black speeder through the crowded traffic lanes of the city as she made her way 'home' for the day. It would only be a matter of time, she thought, before she was off the planet and back out on some crazy assignment again. And if it wasn't crazy, she was sure that somehow it would end up being so...one way or another.

Mace loved Hosnian Prime. Well, not the politics. And not the people, either. And there wasn't much to do here, especially for a lovable malcontent such as himself. But for Mace, Hosnian was home. (Or the closest thing to 'home' that Mace had ever known.) He knew this planet like the mythosaur tattoo on the back of his hand, right down to the world's best Mandalorian food place. Delia knew it too, apparently; ordering her favorite, Uj'alayi, as she always, always, always did. Mace preferred Tiingilar, personally. His taste buds couldn't quite handle the intense heat of Tiingilar, but that never stopped him from enjoying it. Nothing could stop Mace Ransom.

So Hosnian Prime was good for food, at least. But almost as importantly, it was good for business. Hosnian was the galactic home of the obscenely rich and undeservedly famous—exactly the sort of people who wanted to buy a rare Maill coin, or, say, a pre-war Neimoidian mechno-chair, or an ancient Twi'lek vase. Already on this visit, Mace had managed to sell a not-authenticated Roonstone (probably a fake) for 3,500 credits and a Jedi robe, also not-authenticated and probably a fake, but who knows? It kept him warm, at least. Mace had rented a garage for his Spearhead, purchased some supplies for the trip ahead, and then met up with Jaxon. He offered to show Jax around Hosnian, but he seemed to be in a hurry to start the job. So they went to see Mace's sister, Delia.

"Hey, Sis!" he said suddenly, popping up from the back-seat behind her and emphasizing the word 'Hey' as strongly as possible to startle her. It was something they'd done as kids. (The wisdom of doing so in a moving speeder at high-altitude was questionable, however.) How long he—and Jaxon—had been hiding there, she could only guess. "Uj cake again?" he said, having listened to her order Mandalorian food a moment ago, "Live a little!"

He frowned for the briefest of moments as he realized the wind would mess up his hair, but oh well.

It had been a long journey for both Jaxon and BB-12 from Onderon and all the way toward Hosnian Prime. It would be his first time to the Core Worlds region of the galaxy. Let alone Hosnian Prime, the planet known as the capital of New Republic. There was a beeping from the console, as Jaxon pulled the stick back. All of sudden, the stars stopped moving and the capital planet was in the sights. The Lone Traveler its way toward the atmosphere, breaking through on the way toward the city's starport. Of course, he had the landing clearance to get this close. BB-12 chirped inquisitively quite loudly. "I've seen what cities look like, but never this big BB-12." It is very likely that most people don't see a YT-1300 light freighter often around this period. The ship managed to land into one of the local hangar bays, revving the engines down.

He would put on his favorite jacket, one that very much look like what a Resistance fighter would wear. Then he grabbed the belt, along inside the holster was a DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. Lastly, the lightsaber would be tucked away inside the jacket. The force sensitive exited the cockpit, with BB-12 following closely behind. He continued on until he reached the end of the ship, pushing a button to get the landing ramp opened up. "I'd rather you stay and watch the ship, BB-12. Don't worry, I'll communicate with you through the comm." Bb-12 moaned dejectedly, he enjoyed Jaxon's company. However, the droid understood and would watch his friend walk out of the ship. He had met up with Mace, and while the offer to take a tour around Hosnian was nice...he wanted to get to the Jedi holocron first before he could come back on his free time.

It was odd hiding inside the speeder where Mace's sister was driving, especially since she is a New Republic intelligence agent. It was okay if Mace and his sister is seeing each other, but things should be interesting when Jaxon is actually a Resistance fighter. Unlike Mace, he gently showed himself as not to startle the lady. The force sensitive would let the siblings take ahold of the conversation at first. All he wanted is to get to the Jedi holocron before the First Order does.

Delia must have been off her game if she hadn't noticed the two bodies in the backseat of her speeder.  Then again, she didn't check, and honestly, she never expected Mace to be on Hosnian Prime at the exact same time she was. He was usually gallivanting across one part of the Galaxy, while she was in the complete opposite direction from him. As soon as she sensed movement behind her, Delia had the speeder on auto pilot (NOT the best plan in traffic such as this), and a trusty blaster pulled from the holster wedged between the drivers seat and the center console. Yes, she was definately[\i] Lafayette Ransom's daughter.

"What the actual fu....!" She said, as she realized, after turning in her seat, that she had a blaster pistol trained on her brothers half shaved, tattooed head. "Mace!" It wasn't the first time she had done that, due to his carefully planned surprises, and it likely wouldn't be the last. "You jackass."  Delia dropped the blaster pistol back into its holster idly. It only took a moment for her to realize that the speeder, still on auto pilot, was jerking wildly in and out of traffic.

She he dropped back into her seat and took control of it again, dutifully ignoring the second figure in the back of her speeder for the moment, as she found a safe-ish place to land. She would certainly deal with them both then, and it might end up with Mace in the fetal position on the permacrete....again.

There was no shame in the fetal position. It was how Mace had come into the world, and might be how he leaves it. But not today (nevermind that Delia had a blaster pointed at his face and the speeder was, for a moment, under no one's control.) Mace waved the blaster aside like an annoying fly; Leroy Ransom's children were experienced enough with blaster weapons—from age 7, in his case—not to be the least bit nervous about them. Besides, Delia was proficient enough with her blaster to have shot him already if she wanted to. But whether she shot him dead or not, Mace had won this round. He'd startled the Corellian hell out of her.

But he was gracious in victory, retrieving a small item from his jacket pocket, leaning up against the back of Delia's seat, and letting it dangle from his hand in her field of view. It was a pendant, bearing a strange, eye-catching inscription. "I got you something," Mace said. "It's a Japor ivory pendant from Tatooine. It was the most treasured possession of an ancient B'omarr monk who forsook all of his material possessions in order to achieve enlightenment and—nah, just kidding! There was a bin full of them at a market on Tatooine. I bought it for a credit. But it looks nice, doesn't it?"

Mace often came bearing gifts, usually strange trinkets he came upon in his travels. But he almost always came asking for a favor, too. And this time was no exception, as Delia could probably guess. "I'm getting something for mom, too. For Mother's Day." (Mother's Day had been over a month ago, so it wasn't clear which Mother's Day, specifically, that Mace was referring to.) "Can you tell her for me?" he asked. Delia would know, of course, that he'd not been on speaking terms with Leroy for quite some time, and it wasn't often that he saw their mother, Mara. "I'm going to buy her a house. On Chandrila, maybe. Or Harloff Minor. I haven't figured that out just yet... But someplace nice, so she doesn't have to live on that piece of chizk ship with Leroy." It wouldn't take a New Republic intelligence agent to surmise, from Mace's use of Huttese, that he'd been in Hutt Space again, something of which their mother would undoubtedly not approve.

"Oh, this is my friend Jax, by the way," he said belatedly, nodding toward the other, uncomfortable-looking passenger.

Jaxon would tense up a little bit when the lady pulled a blaster on Mace. Then again, why was he so surprised? Mace certainly has a way with people, at the very least that's what Jaxon apparently has in common with the closest friend he has besides BB-12. The lady also wasn't in the control of the speeder, so that made him a little nervous too. He relaxed a little bit once the siblings showed that's how they operated with each other. It was an odd display of affection, that is for sure. Then again, he saw a lot of strange things lately. Maybe it shouldn't surprise him so much.

The Jedi-to-be raised his eyebrows and looked at Mace when he asked about giving a gift for Mother's Day. Wasn't it over about a month prior? Perhaps every planet has a different date for Mother's Day, or it's based on whose government it is that is running in a particular region. Then again, it may be nothing more than being late for giving a gift toward their mother. Delia was not the only person that would notice Mace's use of Huttese. In fact, Jaxon was familiar with several languages. Jaxon realizes now that his ability to comprehend multiple languages must have been enhanced by force sensitivity.

All that train of thought suddenly disappeared when Mace finally decided to introduce him to his sister. "So much for first impressions. I realize this may not be an ideal place to make new friends, but nice to meet you ma'am." Jaxon wasn't sure what to call her really, so he decided to be proper. Especially if she worked for the intelligence branch of New Republic. HE wasn't sure if his association of Resistance would matter, but for now, Mace was more useful in obtaining the location of the Jedi holocron.

He knew they were on a time crunch, with the First Order looking for the same asset, but he didn't want to press Mace since he obviously knew this lady the best.

"Don't ever call me ma'am." Delia warned the stranger, before she jerked the wheel of the speeder suddenly to the left to land on a nearby platform at her apartment building. Yes, Mace had caught her off guard, and he had scared half of a life out of her, but she didn't kill all three of them because of it, so she counted that as at least a point in her favor.

With and exasperated sigh, Delia set the speeder down on the platform and powered it off, before she took the item that her brother had offered her.  "Market find or rare artifact, I like it. Thanks, bro."  She said as she fastened the trinket around her neck. "I'm not sure mom would use a house. She seems happy gallivanting across the galaxy with our father in that rusty heap of tetanus that he calls a ship.  In fact, she sounds happier that I ever remember her being." Delia held back a small frown before she turned her green gaze to Mace for a brief moment, and then got out of the speeder.

"Comeon in. You still have to tell me why you're here and what you want." Obviously, she knew how Mace Ransom operated.
