| I'm glad to hear that quite a few people are excited for RP. I am too, and I'm just about ready to jump back in. But before I do, I just wanted to huddle together with you guys on a couple of things and maybe change our style a bit so I can join you in RPing without becoming burned out again. Basically, these are changes I propose to accommodate the fact that I don't have as much time and energy as I used to, as most of us don't these days.
Namely; I don't have the energy to RP the leadership roles of the Empire and the Rebellion. I don't think we need those roles, however. I would respectfully ask that players show a bit more individual initiative rather than, say, contacting Rebel high command or Imperial high command repeatedly for new missions and things to do. There aren't that many of us, and I think we can probably just talk to each other on Skype or here on the OOC forum to come up with ideas for things to do in the RP without needing a top-down approach where a management-controlled Mon Mothma or Sate Pestage needs to be issuing orders on a continuous basis. If you have story ideas and you're not sure if they're acceptable or not, feel free to bounce them off me or other managers (yes, there will be other managers soon).
Accordingly, I don't think anyone else should be RPing the highest-ranking leadership roles in the Empire or Rebellion, either. I usually don't tell people they can't RP a character, especially one that has already been approved, but I think characters like Lord Gemmell and Moff Ordan need to go because I can't be constantly urging restraint on those characters and also enjoy RPing—and I'd like to enjoy RP again. It's just a situation where, if management isn't RPing leadership roles, those roles should be avoided in general so that no single RPer commands disproportionate power over others without any management oversight.
What this boils down to is more RPing on an individual, person-to-person level, and less galaxy-shaking politics and battles. I already know that most of you, though not all, are perfectly fine with this. For those of you who are more reluctant, know that I do like galaxy-shaking politics and battles, but this is about recognizing the limitations of both myself and text-based RP generally in the year 2016. If we get more people, I'd be happy to try the grand old style of RP again. But we simply don't have the manpower for it at this time.
I would, however, be open to exploring New Republic politics in the Force Awakens era. I don't think there's much enthusiasm to bring back the Senate as a feature of the RP, but I'd be willing to do it if it helps to tell a story and if a sufficient number of people are interested in doing so.
That about covers it. It would be encouraging for me to know that you guys are mostly behind this or at least indifferent, because I don't want to step on anyone's toes without a general consensus that it's a necessary thing to do.

| Also I'm thinking of scrapping the various "messages" forums fora so that characters can actually meet with one another to discuss things or have mission briefings, etc.

| I'll take that as "indifferent" and call it a win.
Although seriously, some of you have contacted me to express support for this, and to offer some interesting ideas; namely, what do we think of having some members of the Church of the Force able to exercise rudimentary Force powers? (Church of the Force is on Wookieepedia if you're not familiar).

| Alrighty, I'll put you down as "indifferent" to that idea too. And by "you" I mean "everyone," including you. Especially you. Just do me a favor and try to keep the excitement level under control, people. I can't even hear myself think for all this exuberance.

| I'm not sure how everyone feels but I for one am a bit shifty on this new time period. As far as the Church of the Force. I wouldn't mind some of them having rudimentary force powers. i was thinking as Frank Jeeves I could rap as one of these characters. ALbiet perhaps more sensitive to the force then others. But key word is rudimentary. Perhaps switching locks and a little mind redirection. or reaching out and causing a blaster to randomly fire. Or having just slightly better reaction timing. To be honest though I would rather most of it's members not actually have any force powers. It would be interesting to have a non force adept who is a master lightsaber fighter but can't block blaster bolts worth a hill of beans.
As for the Senate. If we can get at least two to three people interested in the senate roles I would like to see about getting a bunch of Pro Republic, former separatist and pro imperial sympathizers. Most of the purposes of these characters would be to debate the direction that the New Republic must go. I would be happy to Rp as Gustav Emerest again in either direction. Now if there is only 3 people the News can fill in the results of the votes based on how management would like to see the direction of keeping with the continuity of Star Wars as well as the skill of the master debater. (say that ten times fast)
I'm not sure about the Fora. I'll have to say one thing that has me absolutely confused is where is the section for the Rules. I want goddamn rules. For how am I Frank Jeeves expected to break any rules if there are no rules to break.
We need rules man. Jimi hendrix couldn't play shit if there wern't any rules to guitar and then he wouldn't have known how to break those rules.
RULES RULES RULES RULES.
-Frank Jeeves, and my cool scene.
Added (24 Feb 2016, 1:40 AM) --------------------------------------------- So what's up with this Fora and message board?

| I fixed up the forum. It's all set to go. I'm okay with the Senate too, if we can get more people involved. I'll toss up the rules ASAP. In the meantime, we're basically going off the old AGD/AGW/Legends rules, here: http://starwarslegends.ucoz.com/index/rules/0-4 (there might be an advertisement you have to sit through for an agonizingly-long 20 seconds, so I've included this helpful 20-second funky guitar clip to pass the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv2xxTrw9Aw ). Obviously, some of them won't apply directly to this time period, so I need to spend an hour or so with them to bring them up to date. We also have this thread ( http://willoftheforce.ucoz.com/forum/7-6-1 ) that compiles 4 or 5 of the newest rules we've come up with.
