A Few Things I have Noticed

So I've finished reading the 'Legends' era novels. Some were good, some were bad, but I enjoyed them. I'm not partway through the current 'new' canon novels. Granted, I haven't watched a single episode of 'Rebels' so I can't reference that, but I have read:

'Dark Disciple'
'Lords of the Sith'
'Tarkin'
'A New Dawn'

And at present, I am a little over halfway into 'Heir to the Jedi.'

A few points I'm sure some, or perhaps most of you may have gleaned, but that I found interesting:

1) I still can't confirm whether a Moff is a Governor, vice versa or a separate entity. Wording from 'Tarkin' does support the latter thought, but wording from 'A New Dawn' seems to support the former.

2) Asajj Ventress died. It was sad. I actually had a sad.

3) Captains of larger Imperial vessels (at a minimum, Star Destroyers) are treated as 'miniature governors' when attempting to influence smaller planetary localized forces (police, etc) and even by local planetary bureaucrats.

4) Ranks such as 'Count,' 'Baron' and like 'Duke' do exist as viable titles within the Empire. These positions, or perhaps the titles themselves, grant authority over Imperial Fleet members to the extent of being directly subordinate, even if the holder of such titles is not within the 'proper' Imperial military command structure.

5) B-Wings do exist relatively soon post-Battle of Yavin, and also exist in the hands of pirates.

6) Stun blasts can be deflected by a lightsaber, but it can be hard to do so.

Just a few interesting thoughts so far.
