Background/History: Carth was born on Telos IV by Tremaine and a unnamed mother that died at childbirth due to non-stop internal bleeding. The boy was named in honor of Carth Onasi, a Telosian legendary hero. Carth was taught by his father to be the jack-of-all-trades type of guy while growing up. His father was a veteran of running an anti-Imperial rebellion before molding into the Rebel Alliance and won the Galactic Civil War. After the war, he decided to return home rather than helping the establishment of the New Republic. Because of this, Carth was able to pick up several traits of his own father. He was able to learn how to run businesses, how to deal with politicians, how to fight and fly, and many more. At such young age, he decided to enlist at New Republic Fleet Academy despite the demilitarization efforts. Equally impressive were the fact he graduated from the academy early in the top half of the graduating class. However, a lot of capital ships were scrapped and the remaining positions were already taken. The New Republic would waive his contract so he could get out of service. Telosian Security Forces would bite on an opportunity to recruit him to defend his own homeworld. Carth would accept the offer, and would remain in their service until he became disillusioned with the New Republic and their attitude toward the First Order. While he may have been in the service the entire time, he was also capable of running business venues inherited from his father (established in the aftermath of the Galactic Civil War). While he was biding his time to leave the service, he had his companies secretly merge on several projects such as creating a program of Surik-class starfighters, an Onasi-class battlecruiser, and a personal assassin-battle droid known as HG-149. At the same time, he was secretly recruiting like-minded disillusioned soldiers, pilots, and crewmembers from Telos IV and the nearby planets in the same system. As his companies began to decline due to the amount of credits spent on building up a really, really small defense force. Luckily, he had recruited enough idealistic volunteers to fill the battlecruiser and open the Surik-class starfighter program. By then, he would fold all the companies before leaving Telos IV. Rather than taking the First Order on his own, he decided to bring his lone battlecruiser to align with the Resistance. Carth knew fully well that the Resistance would be very hard-pressed to acquire a capital ship. It took a while to gain General Organa's trust, however. Once he was able to do so, General Organa gave him the rank of Captain since he was already full-capable of running a crew.
