Appearance: While having a slender frame, she has a surprisingly athletic body due to an intense personal fitness regimen that she has inherited from her adopted father. She is widely regarded as beautiful, taking on similarity to her mother. She often wears her hair in complex but loose braiding. A winged, crested Starbird tattoo adorns her right shoulder, modeled after the symbol used by her father's squadron. A stylized vornskyr tattoo runs the left side of her stomach and ribcage, honoring her mother's callsign.

Personality: Always possessing a strong moral code of right and wrong, she also accepts from her time in the military and hearing of the atrocities of the Empire that sometimes makings things right means doing some things wrong. At no point has that concession made sense than when she left the New Republic to join the Resistance. She keeps herself in optimal physical fitness to an obsessive level, which also translates to her honing of her combat and flying skills, which she also works at an obsessive level to perfect.

Background
If Kira Senesca was meant to be anything other than a starfighter pilot, it was the galaxy's intention for it to never be. Her father, Kanner "Rush" Longstar, was an Imperial TIE Interceptor pilot, who went rogue and turned smuggler following Alderaan, and then became a Y-Wing and later B-Wing pilot for the Rebel Alliance whom died at the Battle of Endor. Her mother, Adi "Phoenix" Senesca, was the free-spirited, wild niece of Rogue Group pilot Zev Senesca, who joined the Alliance under-age as a nurse and later become an Ace X-Wing pilot before being killed at the Battle of Jakku. She was born of a fling between her parents, who did care for each other but found war was not the best of times to form a romantic relationship. Following a brief period in an orphanage, she was raised by Talath Arthos and Khameira Sarin, friends of her parents who tracked her down. It was they who were able to recover her mother's astromech droid from the wreckage of her crash and also had the only lasting material possession of her father, a cream-striped orange bandana, providing her with some link with her parents. The droid, "Viper", she has used throughout her career, and her father's bandana she wears on her head for every mission.

She was raised in a life filled with love and without concern by her adopted parents, becoming close to her adopted sister as well. She idolized them for taking her and her sister in and raising them as their own, and sought to be just like them. In her adolescence, she talked her mother into giving her Special Forces training over time. She proceeded to follow her sister upon reaching the age of eighteen into entering officer training and becoming a starfighter pilot for the New Republic. She thought she would be doing some good, and travelling to galaxy to right the wrongs. Her idealism was quickly destroyed when she completed training and became a pilot, finding herself merely maintaining the status quo of the galaxy and doing next to nothing to make it a better or safer place. The stagnation of the New Republic was stifling, but out of loyalty she continued to serve.

As the First Order rose up however, she became restless. Like many, she saw it for what it was. The Empire reborn to bring chaos and war to the galaxy once more. When word reached her of the First Order's raids on independent worlds, she could no longer take the complacency of the New Republic. Despite being part of the elite Rogue Squadron, she resigned her commission as a New Republic officer and joined the Resistance, with her sister joining her in doing the same. She has since been placed into Red Squadron, being granted her rank as Lieutenant, joining the many who are willing and able to do what the New Republic will not.
