Appearance: Has an athlete's physique, and maintains it through the combination of an active lifestyle and regimented physical fitness program; his past as a lemmie player and military officer formed the base of his current fitness. He always keeps his hair cut short, getting it trimmed weekly, and has had a goatee since he could grow facial hair, often varying on whether or not the rest of his face was clean shaven.

Personality: While raised in the extreme wealth and opulence of the Coruscanti aristocracy, he has always been one to sympathize with the less fortunate of the galaxy and wishes to help them wherever possible. While the stereotypical lifestyle of someone of his station was forced upon him throughout childhood and adolescence, he remained humble and try to live meagerly wherever possible. He always had a knack for politics, often interested and active through his adolescence, but was known to lead protests and advocate for the restoration of the Republic; activity which was source of ire for his father. He believes heavily in keeping an active and healthy lifestyle, his fitness is a major source of pride for him. He has a bleeding heart however, one which sometimes gets the better of him. He is also known for having a cigar and glass of hard liquor in his hands seemingly constantly in his down time; while he drinks enough to be one, he does not suffer from alcoholicism. His militant stance against the Empire and First Order have recently made him something of a pariah in his social circles, as well as his support of the Jedi and the Church of the Force.

Background
Born among the Coruscanti aristocracy, he was raised in a life of opulence and grandeur, but wished to live the exact opposite. He often gave away his things to passer-bys on the streets, an action his father relentlessly attempted to correct. Once he was allowed to roam freely as a teenager, he often wander the lower levels of Coruscant, giving what credits he could from his allowance to the needy and homeless. He soon became politically active, becoming aware of the strife suffered by the wider galaxy despite the Empire's promises of prosperity and security, and often advocated for the restoration of the Republic. While he never suffered for his actions, many of the friends he made through these activities did. It was in fact the influence of his father which kept him out of trouble with the Imperial authorities, but his father's career suffered for it.

He eventually applied to the Imperial Academy, if anything to get away from his father and to see the galaxy. His name gained him instant approval to attend the Raithal Academy, where he performed excellently. As the Resistance stiffened and grew against the Empire, he found himself among like minded individuals who yearned for the days of the Republic. He soon became part of a Resistance cell within the Raithal Academy, who sought to be trained by the Empire and later defect to a Resistance movement. Upon graduation, he was stationed aboard a CR90 Corvette, the Imputator, alongside most of the cadets he graduated with. Within months, they led a successful mutiny aboard the Corvette and delivered it to the Alderaanian Resistance; which they promptly joined. He was granted the rank of Commander, and captained the Corvette, now renamed the White Thranta, become part of the Rebel Alliance a mere week later. Being the first high profile Academy formulated mutiny, but certainly not the last as it became a preferred defection technique for many, his parents were made an example and publicly executed by the Empire. He did not feel responsible for this, as it was the right thing to do, and it only strengthened his conviction to fight the Empire in any way possible.

Throughout the Galactic Civil War, he exceeded as a commander, eventually taking command of the EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate Salvation, during which he befriended many of the pilots and other personnel assigned to his ship. He later assumed command of the MC80 Star Cruiser Valorous upon being promoted to the rank of Captain following the Battle of Hoth. His major engagements of note were Operation Ringbreaker, the Beltire Liberation, Battle of Cawa City on Sterdic IV, the Naboo Sieges, the Liberation of Kashyyyk, and finally the Battle of Jakku.

In the aftermath of Jakku, he found himself in a position to finally fulfill his personal life. He had maintained a secret relationship with Khaeira Sarin, an Alliance Special Forces officer which was at one time stationed aboard the Salvation, whom he proceeded to marry. He also found that two of his friends from the Salvation had a child, Kira Senesca, who was now orphaned. He adopted Kira, and was able to obtain what belongings he could of her parents, her mother's astromech droid from her fighter's wreck on Jakku and one of her father's bandanas. During his search for Kira's mother's astromech droid, he came across a young Twi'lek who was orphaned by the fighting on Jakku, and proceeded to adopt her as well. While he and Khameira could have their own children, her immediate shift into being elected Senator of Iridonia meant their careers would never allow such a thing to happen. Thus, Kira and her adopted sister Seela became blood to him.

He was able to maintain his commission, and command of the Valorous in the New Republic Starfleet following the Military Disarmament Act, during which he toured the galaxy to inspect and advise local forces to ensure they met galactic standards. It was a boring job, but one he did faithfully for the next decade until his wife chose to resign from her position and focus on raising their daughters. At this point in his career, he chose to retire and join her in raising them, settling on the world of Kaikielius. He soon became involved in local politics on Kaikielius, unable to settle for being a house-husband while Khameira occasionally served as a diplomat for the New Republic to neutral systems. When the then Senator of Kaikielius was removed due to a corruption scandal, he stepped up to replace him and surprisingly won the election in an overwhelming landslide.

Being a fresh face to the stagnant politics of Kaikielius lead to widespread popularity, and which he maintained until recently, over the course of the fifteen years. As the First Order rose out of the ashes of the Empire however, he saw the threat it represented. He was among many calling for something to be done about the First Order, only to see the galaxy turn on him. He is now largely a pariah, along with the other Senators who have called out against the First Order. In secret, he has begun to support the Resistance, by channeling funds and surplus or mothballed equipment and vehicles to them. Since the Jedi Massacre, he has also become a reliable ally of the Church of the Force, and its efforts to preserve the Jedi.
