Dear Captain Shirnoq,

I am sorry to hear of your.. failings.. in the Ketaris system. The Rebels did attack with some ferocity and unexpected zeal.

Do officers survive from the Nebulon B2? Or the Lancer?

Colonel Gemmell,

I would hardly call my actions 'failing' by any means. A force superior to mine engaged the convoy and had dealt it severe damage before I'd even arrived. I remained in hopes of pinning the enemy forces in place so that additional ships from Ketaris could be summoned as reinforcements. Unfortunately, they arrived too late, and the raiders were able to punch through my screen. Despite damage to my vessel, I am quite pleased to report no personnel losses among my pilots or crew.

In regards to the convoy escorts, I have been told the Lancer was lost with all hands and that a large number of the Nebulon-B2's crew perished as well. I'm afraid that the medical center on Ord Biniir would have better information in that regard than I do, at this time.

Regards,

Kanzad Shirnoq

Captain, calm those firing adrenaline synapses there. You were hit by an unexpected assault and it would not be expedient to see you shamed. I do think though that it does demonstrate some of the problems with the current setup eh? Escort forces ought to have the ability to stop waves of rebel fighters and perhaps we need to field something better than the lancer to you for this role.

Literally all hands lost on the Lancer? this is almost unheard of.. Have you investigated why when it was clear it could not keep fighting it was not given the order to abandon ship?

Put the word about, i've had it done so with the ISB, I'd like all those officers from the Nebulon B2 and any survivors from the Lancer who turn up in pods, aboard my flagship, the Lictor-class standing at Ord Biniir asap.

Colonel Gemmell,

Neither the Lancer nor the Nebulon-B2 were under my command; I am not in place to speculate as to why their respective captains responded in the manner they did. My own squadron has become accustomed to stamping out raiders or small rebel hideouts; we are not equipped, yet, for a slugging match on the scale we encountered. However, I have submitted a request to Naval Command for a modification of my vessel lineup.

I shall inform the medical centers at Ketaris and Ord Biniir that any personnel from the escort group are to be detained by your order and transported to your vessel posthaste. If there is anything else I can do in the future for you, Colonel, please don't hesitate to ask.

Colonel,

At present, excluding stormtroopers, the 148th has no Imperial Army vehicles. They have been offloaded at Ord Biniir prior to the incident at Ketaris in preparation to refit the Stalwart's bays to hold an additional TIE compliment.

Regards,
