I apologize for the intrusion, Admiral Ackbar. I don't normally clock in way before the usual briefing, but I have something that I think should be brought to your attention as well as the rest of the Alliance Command. There is apparently a Jedi by the name of Darwin Sky that had reached out to me recently. He is known to have ties to the Rebel Alliance as well as several resistance cells stationed throughout the galaxy. He, along with his companions, managed to slip by the Imperial security surrounding Kashyyyk. Currently, he is working with the wookiee resistance that is attempting to cause troubles for the Imperial authorities.
Darwin has requested that the rebellion send assistance. Before you say no, both Darwin and myself are aware that sending troops to liberate Kashyyyk is too costly, not to mention this is out of reach at the moment. What he has proposed is perfectly reasonable. Instead of sending troops, you send military advisors to train and observe the wookiees in the ways of guerilla warfare. You send medical and weapon supplies to keep their supply high. The costs is relatively low, because they already know how to fight and only needed some adjustments to guerilla warfare. The Jedi has promised that, other than the wookiees, he and his companions only do the heavy fighting. Another request he have made is rather odd, as he also wanted a team of scientists whom specializes in producing specific scents of Kashyyyk's native fauna.
Essentially, this is only a "train-and-equip" mission for the rebellion. This could prove useful to us in the long run, Admiral. I would like to see the Empire develop massive headaches more often. The decision is yours, and I eagerly awaits your reply.
