Gentlemen, I have completed my report into the possibility of industrial sabotage having occurred at Gravlex LaunchWorks in the Riaoballo Sector. I have submitted the full report to Director Isard, but in summary:

● The leak of toxic chemicals from a Gravlex LaunchWorks storage compound was deemed not to be sabotage, but rather was due simply to inadequate precautions having been taken. The chemical spill, while apparently harmful to the native Anx species, did not cause any significant delays in Gravlex LaunchWorks operations, and therefore no disciplinary action is recommended.

● However, I observed a general lack of discipline and many conduct and dress code violations. Some of which I shall detail for you:

● The driver assigned to me exhibited incompetence in his job by driving a landspeeder into late afternoon traffic in the city of Oxlyn Gox, delaying me in the course of my investigation for approximately one half-hour. I found it necessary to admonish him numerous times to drive more aggressively. (It was explained to me that travel by landspeeder was necessary because all of the Imperial airspeeders from the local garrison were unable to operate in the planet's above-standard gravity. I recommend the Oxlyn Gox garrison be provided with more all-terrain walkers at the earliest opportunity.)

● I found one Imperial Army regular listening to music that has been banned by the Imperial Board of Culture, specifically the band known as "Red Shift Limit." I ordered him arrested and a search made of the barracks for any other anti-Imperial propaganda. This search yielded an illicit game of sabacc which someone had attempted to conceal from me, and several packs of death sticks, which I suspect to be widely-used among the Army regulars, though none would admit to it. As punishment, I canceled all leaves and day passes and required all Army personnel to view a COMPNOR instructional film to improve discipline and morale.

● Many of the personnel I observed had collars unbuttoned or belts missing from their tunics. I noticed one non-commissioned officer who clearly hadn't shined his boots for days. I inspected the boots of all the non-commissioned officers present and found most of them had trace amounts of dirt encrusted in the soles. I admonished them to stay out of my sight until they looked like Imperial officers.

● A Noolan prostitute was murdered in the vicinity of Gravlex LaunchWorks during my stay on the planet. Because Imperial personnel were sighted in the brothel where the murder occurred, I took it upon myself to investigate. The Noolan female appeared to be the victim of a disruptor, and her body was mostly destroyed. I closed the case for lack of evidence, ordered the brothel shut, and admonished the garrison commander for allowing his personnel to frequent such an establishment.

● As I concluded my investigation, I observed the garrison commander allowing a large group of Anx demonstrators to protest the chemical spill in unacceptably close proximity to the LaunchWorks premises. I found his treatment of these anti-Imperial miscreants and rabble-rousers to be far too lenient, and I found it necessary to discharge my sidearm into the air to disperse the protesters when the garrison commander declined to do so himself.

Dutifully,

Colonel Lym Murdok
