| Admirals,
Operations will soon commence to begin massive destabilization in the Abrion Sector. Worlds such as Roon and Molavar, among others, hold a number of sympathizers and personnel who would be beneficial to our cause if we can either provide them with support or offer them evacuation. However, the ships under my command are not enough to affect a full-scale operation in either area. Gentlemen, I hope we can work together on this, for this is not going to be an easy campaign.
I'd welcome your thoughts on this.

| Colonel McIntyre,
The Abrion sector is of great importance to the Alliance. The Chief of State and the Advisory Council are of the opinion (and I concur) that we cannot easily absorb the loss of our supply lines to the agricultural worlds of the sector. We're relying too heavily upon smugglers as it is. Ordinarily I would strongly advise against a mass-destabilization operation until we've replenished our supplies and have a new base established—the people of the Abrion sector may have had Confederate sympathies, but they're far more concerned with having a market for their foodstuffs than they are in supporting our cause, at least not openly. We cannot depend on them to rally to us.
However, we're receiving information that Moff Cole is preparing for a "cleansing" of the sector. We must be ready for this. In particular, Alliance-friendly farms on Ukio, Sumarin, and Gibad must be defended, or, if they prove indefensible, must be evacuated along with as large a supply of foodstuffs as possible. A feint attack on Teios may help to facilitate this. I leave these matters to your discretion, Colonel.
Admiral Tarkona, is your task force available to support Colonel McIntyre? I suspect your ships should be able to sneak into the Abrion sector undetected through the old Sheela Run. Moff Cole is probably expecting Alliance reinforcements to come from the direction of Roon.
Sincerely,
Admiral Gial Ackbar Supreme Commander of the Alliance Fleet Chief of Alliance Military Operations MC80 'Home One'-type Cruiser Independence

| Admiral,
I will take the advice against a destabilization mission to heart; the ships I have at my command are not enough to cover such; less actual assault than strike and fade. However, my agents in the Abrion Sector have pulled together a plan utilizing the transports I have to evacuate sympathizers and foodstuffs. We'd require no small amount of support, however. I do believe it can be done, but if Moff Cole is expecting reinforcements from Roon, much as it pains me to suggest it, we may have to bypass Roon entirely and hope those there can hold out. It's an ugly choice, Admiral, but there are only so many places in the Abrion Sector that I can hide a small fleet, especially if the Moff wants to bring in exterior help.

| Admiral Ackbar,
My personal task force will be available soon to support the operations in the Abrion Sector, and will do so through the Sheela Run on your advisement. I would recommend some uptempo movements elsewhere to avoid attention being focused on the Abrion Sector. Likely to be the first major naval engagement since Yavin, the Empire may attempt to hammer down on the region upon sighting a major Alliance force.
Colonel McIntyre,
You may expect my forces to be available to you and in your sector within two standard weeks.

Admiral Jela Tarkona Alliance Fleet
Commanding Officer, Alliance Fourth Battle Group

| Admiral Tarkona,
I'll propose to the Advisory Council that we commence diversionary tactics in the Nouane system. We've already been conducting low-level harassment of Imperial shipping in that sector. Surely the Empire has surmised that we're trying to convince the Allied Region of Nouane to side with us, and perhaps if they believe that we've abandoned diplomacy, they'll expect a major thrust there rather than in the Abrion sector. It might also be prudent to step up comms chatter at Roon—if Moff Cole is expecting us to resist him there, we might as well not disabuse him of the notion. But personally, I don't see Roon having any particular value to us. By all means we should warn any of our privateers at Roon or other... 'independent operators' who associate with us to expect the Empire to lock down the system. But I agree with you, Colonel, that we should save what ships we have for the more strategically-important agriworlds in the sector.
May the Force be with us.
Yours sincerely,
Admiral Gial Ackbar Supreme Commander of the Alliance Fleet Chief of Alliance Military Operations MC80 'Home One'-type Cruiser Independence
