| So the last time we were here, I was talking about how text-based RP is fast becoming a thing of the past in an age of ever-shortening attention spans and 140 characters or fewer. I wasn't wrong about that, but one thing I didn't anticipate when I retired from RP was just how much I'd miss it. There is perhaps no more emotionally and intellectually satisfying activity on the internet than text-based RP with a group of experienced and talented RPers like you. So let's be "things of the past" together!
I had always intended to give RP another try when the The Force Awakens comes out in December of this year. But having moved to a new home that is more peaceful and quiet, and having a not inconsiderable amount of time on my hands, I find I miss RP too much to wait the 6 long months for Episode VII. So, having consulted all of you first, I've put together this hybrid RP to tide us over. It's different, rather Bohemian, perhaps a bit uncouth, but I think it'll work.
There will be a few minor differences from previous sites, things like no Senate, simplified requests, and more balanced fleets. I'll elaborate on these more in the coming days, but for the time being there's one new rule that's important to know; a character's profile must now be posted, and approved, before RPing that character. This rule is probably familiar to most of you from other RPs, and while I'm sure all your profiles will be fine, please do post them first and I should have them approved in no time.
Feel free to ask me any questions here, as long as they're not math questions because I'm bad at math. Pretty awful, in fact. I never learned my times tables. Now you know. I was strangely good at calculus, though. I'd also prefer not to answer any questions about the most recent of my ex-girlfriends, unless you absolutely must know. (Apparently girls get angry if you don't get angry? I don't get it.)
