Psychological Profile:
For someone who occupies such a powerful position in the Imperial hierarchy, he is a surprisingly mild-mannered and accommodating man, except when it comes to non-Human species, whom he detests. His command style is very much by-the-book, and some would say lacks imagination. However, his attention to detail makes him well-suited to his administrative work, and his grandfatherly demeanor commands respect.

Information:
Born and raised on the planet Axum among the vestiges of the ancient Azure Imperium, a young Per Jensen considered himself destined for a naval career. A graduate of the Anaxes War College, he was a Captain in the Azure Sector Defense Force when the Clone Wars began, and rose slowly, but steadily through the ranks of the Republic Navy during the course of the war. However, it wasn't until the Empire's post-war campaign against Separatist holdouts on the Outer Rim that Jensen, by that time a Rear Admiral, achieved his greatest distinction when he cleansed the Radama Void of Separatist forces and decisively defeated a Devlikk uprising on Ord Radama, securing the fortress world for the Empire permanently.

For his efforts, and with the vocal support of Republic veterans groups, Jensen was promoted to Fleet Admiral. He was slated to co-command, with Admiral Terrinald Screed, the Western Reaches Superiority Force, but was badly injured in a shuttle accident in the hangar of the Salient, his Venator-class Star Destroyer from the Clone Wars which he insisted on using as his flagship despite having not been designed to accommodate the new, larger Lambda-class shuttles that Imperial officers now traveled in. With Jensen no longer fit for front line duty, Bannidge Holt replaced him in co-command of the Western Reaches Operation.

Rather than retire, however, Jensen was given administrative work on Imperial Center, serving for many years on the Imperial Military Oversight Commission, where he became a well-known and -liked figure in the Imperial bureaucracy. This led to his current posting as Attaché to High Command and Naval Liaison to the Imperial Ruling Council, where he is responsible for relaying orders to much of the Imperial military.

As an accommodation of the old man's wishes, Jensen retains command the Star Destroyer Salient, if only on flimplast as the ship spends most of its time "parked" on Centax-1 with no permanent crew.
