Psychological:. Aima is the consummate professional. She is a dedicated and driven soldier, possessing a relentless sense of duty and a burning desire to destroy the Empire. Though many in Thranta Squadron consider her a wet blanket, she possesses a dry, ironic sense of humor and is actually quite a friendly person beneath her gruff exterior. In private she suffers from her fair share of demons, a holdover from her time as a slave, though she rarely lets anyone see that side of her.

History:. As with so many Twi'lek children born into the waning years of the Galactic Republic, Aima was born the children of two slaves and was thus brought up in the life. With the formation of the Empire, she was a mere nine years old when she was sold to a low-ranking Imperial naval officer, whom she has refused to name. Her owner took to whipping his slaves whenever they mouthed off, to the point where Aima had been so broken down that she was cowed by the mere sight of the crop. And so she had been a faithful slave, right up until she saw on the holonet that the Rebel Alliance had managed to destroy the Empire's planetary superweapon. Something about that victory kindled a fire within her, and when her master struck her again she fought back. She killed him in a rage and then fled his estate, spending all of her meager savings to pay for passage offworld. Through recruiters on the Outer Rim she joined the Alliance shortly after the Battle of Yavin. She has since established herself as a skilled soldier and pilot, serving the Alliance faithfully.
