The Blackwood family has been known since time immemorial for their dedicated service and commitment in their extended line of members whom have faithfully served in numerous positions within various Naval Forces. Thus it is no shock that the eldest son of the prestigious family had chosen a life of service in the Navy. A choice that was seen as the continuation of the familial history and commitment.

He was born on Eshan, the homeworld of the Echani People. His mother was a Morellia, his father a renowned Naval Captain in his own right; whom would go on to retire in the years leading up to his eldest son's own budding career. By the time he was old enough to attend the Naval Academy on Eshan, he had already had a working knowledge of many of those vessels utilized in the worlds defense fleet; as well as various vessels used by Pirates and Raiders. He showed his promise at a young age, with his grades and markings matching many of those whom had previously attended the academy; further separating him from his peers.

By the age of Eighteen he had already gone straight from the Academy into the service aboard a small Cruiser. His dedication, hard work and keen insight elevated him to the position as the Captain's personal Aide; even with him only holding the title of a midshipman. This posting brought him swift promotions, and the eventual recognition as a Lieutenant. While such a rank was fine for many, he had his sights set upon loftier heights; with a transfer into Republic Service upon the horizon.

Much of his following years were spent touring the Outer Rim, cracking down on Pirate operations and Raiders whom brought terror upon the people. When the Naboo Blockade broke out, he had already foreseen the possibility of an all out war; which would be proven correct just a decade later. Without hesitation; as it was his duty, Tasgetius immediately joined the newly formed Republic Navy that was to support the operations of the Grand Army of the Republic and its millions of Clone Troopers.

His capabilities and leadership would see him elevated to the rank of Captain, and his dedication to his craft would continue to elevate his position. During the Clone Wars there was even a rumor among the vessel that he could name every personnel under his command; and that he had even given each Clone Trooper on his vessel a name that he remembered. Though he has never come out and said if this was true or not, allowing the rumor to spread to further his own crew members admiration for their commanding officer.

With the closing of the Clone Wars, and the new declaration of the Galactic Empire, there was only one thing for him to do; that was to remain dedicated and follow orders. A loyal Naval Officer of the newly formed Galactic Empire, his duties and responsibilities grew in the following years. With the last remnants of the CIS being cleaned up, and threats to the new Empire being put down; he finally attained a lofty height with the Rank of Admiral being bestowed upon him.

Now with the most recent set back that has befallen the Empire, Admiral Blackwood has focused his attention and abilities on rooting out those Rebels responsible for bringing Chaos upon an otherwise Peaceful Galaxy.
