Psychological Profile:
A fanatical devotee of the New Order, Murdok is a sexually-repressed, power-hungry sadist who enjoys inflicting pain on non-Human species and other "enemies of the Empire," both real and imagined. He has a paranoid personality well-suited to the ISB's department of Internal Affairs. Indeed, he is obsessive in his work, notorious for pursuing every case to its conclusion and every traitor to his or her untimely end. Having been schooled in Imperial propaganda since he was a child, however, his critical thinking skills are only somewhat more developed than an entry-level Surveillance officer, and his single-minded pursuit of suspects can be both cost- and time-intensive. His repressed sexual curiosity about the non-Human species he violently persecutes is likely to lead to unfortunate outcomes.
Information:
Lym Murdok is a Colonel of the Imperial Security Bureau's department of Internal Affairs. His mother was an educator on Coruscant, his father a civilian employee of the Jedi Temple who perished in the execution of Order 66. Fearful that Palpatine's new Empire might come for her and Lym, she enrolled her son in COMPNOR's Sub-Adult Group, where he was inculcated in New Order values. Eventually losing her job at the University of Coruscant, Lym's mother died in an apparent speeder accident that might, in reality, have been suicide. The Empire took the emotional place of Murdok's parents, and he followed a typical career path from COMPNOR through the ranks of the Imperial Security Bureau to its Internal Affairs division, where he is a thorn in the side of "traitors," both real and imagined, among the ranks of the Imperial military.
* Murdok would have recovered the DX-2 disruptor pistol during a raid and sought special dispensation from the Bureau to use it. ("... Even under the Galactic Empire, only a select few Imperial Intelligence Officers were permitted to utilize [disruptors]," according to Wookieepedia). Murdok would not carry it with him regularly, and it would be used only for story purposes and never against another RPer.
