Background:
Alexis "Lex" Jaksun's homeworld of Corulag is often praised for its "model Imperial behavior." It was no surprise, then, that Jaksun learned to fight at a young age. Surrounded by Imperial prisons, the Corulag Academy, and orbital research stations that helped to develop the Death Star, the free-thinking and fiercely independent Jaksun was out of place on Corulag. As a child, he wanted to be a Jedi and was appalled at Palpatine's betrayal of the Jedi Order. He spent 6 months in prison when he stopped a group of Human members of COMPNOR from beating up a Sullustan in the street, receiving a beating himself in the process. When he learned that the Sullustan had died and none of the COMPNOR members had been punished, Jaksun left Corulag in disgust, determined to join the Rebel Alliance.

More than ten years later, "Lex" Jaksun is a Major in Alliance Special Operations, and a thorn in the side of the Empire. A fighter for all of his adult life, he believes less in the restoration of the Old Republic than he does in the destruction of the Empire, its Emperor, and every stormtrooper he can possibly shoot. Having made friends in the Alliance and lost them to the Empire has only hardened his resolve. He is a man of quiet intensity, carrying inside of him an anger at the Empire that can only be released through combat. He is still the free-thinker of his youth, however, and has demonstrated himself to be an efficient battlefield tactician. Because of this, and his near-complete disregard for his personal safety, he was promoted to Major from the ranks of the Alliance Army and assigned to Gundark Squad. Its mission: infiltration, sabotage, and of course, the destruction of the Galactic Empire.
