    Information:
Prior to the suspension of the Senate, Cambrist was one of its rising stars, representing the planet Brentaal. Known as the wunderkind of House Cambrist, he was one of the youngest Human senators of his time, and the youngest ever to serve on the powerful Commerce Committee. As a Senator, he was known for his influence over Imperial trade policy, his empowerment and enrichment of Core Worlds—particularly Brentaal—at the expense of the Outer Rim, and his support for Empire's doctrine of Human supremacy.

Cambrist lost his position and much of his power when the Senate was suspended, and he was openly critical of the Emperor's decision. Despite his record of support for the Empire, he was soon replaced as chairman of the Imperial Trade and Commerce Authority—his last position of power in the Empire—and he returned to his homeworld of Brentaal. There, he served as the planet's Trade Representative and its Ambassador to the worlds of the Darpa Sector, while also spending more time and attention on his own business interests.

This was cut short, however, when Brentaal's Imperial governor, Jerrod Maclain, attempted to orchestrate Cambrist's assassination. Presumed dead, Cambrist's death was blamed on the Rebel Alliance, while in reality the former Senator survived the attempt on his life entirely by accident and went underground in search of answers.
