Esteemed Personnel,

As part of a new line of starships to come off of our drawing board; one which was tested briefly, by Lord Vader himself, is what I wish to present to you today.

I put forth the Interdictor-class star destroyer, a work of powerful machinery and precision that, while being somewhat higher in cost to produce than the Immobilizer 418, offers an equal amount of gravity well projectors and holds greatly increased armament when set beside the Sienar Fleet Systems design. This vessel, in the hands of the Imperial Navy's best and brightest captains, could well require little to no escort in the mission of interdicting rebel spies, saboteurs or other troublemakers.

I hope to hear your opinions soon, gentlemen.

Kind regards,

(( OOC Note: With the price of 'black market value' of an Immobilizer 418 listed as '52,240,000 credits,' I assume the 'new' price is somewhere close to 75,000,000-90,000,000. This is my assumption and if I am wrong, please correct me.))

Mr. Stark,

Personally, I have my doubts about the feasibility of a dual interdictor/destroyer. You intend this "Interdictor-class Star Destroyer" to be both, but I fear it is neither. It is my opinion that the incident at Jazbina which you refer to as a "field test," and in which nearly forty thousand men died, is directly attributable to the removal of point defense weaponry from your design to accommodate the power requirements of its gravity well projectors. Had an Immobilizer 418 been employed at Jazbina with proper escort instead of your Star Destroyer, those men would be alive today and Luke Skywalker would almost certainly be in Imperial custody.

That is, however, my personal opinion. It is fortunate for your design, Sir, and indeed for your career, that Naval Command has formally attributed the Jazbina Incident to Human error, and the Admiralty continues to be interested in your design. You'll be pleased to know that we are commissioning an additional three vessels of this class to undergo additional field testing. Let us hope that these vessels fare better than the previous one.

Yours sincerely,

Admiral Jensen,

It is with great sorrow that I recall the loss of lives at Jazbina; however, it would be just as equally terrible to lay the blame of the loss of life at the feet of Kuat Drive Yards' interdictor. Nobody, and I do mean nobody could have ever predicted that some fool of a rebel would be able to blitz through the TIE screen upon launch to enter the hangar and blow himself up. Why, the same thing could happen with any vessel that has a hangar, and there is no guarantee that having point defense cannons would or would not have prevented that travesty. That is why, Admiral, that while the Interdictor-class is capable of solo operations and can require no escorts, I made a point to state little or no escorts; any ship, especially of this type, or even SFS's Immobilizer-418, is certain to do better with other ships to protect it.

I am, of course, always at the drawing board to make any improvements possible; if there is anything you or your people can recommend, Admiral, I would be more than willing to see if the engineers are capable of putting such additions in.

As ever, we are pleased to be of service to the Imperial Navy.

Kind regards,

Mr. Stark,

The Emperor does not want to be told that his ships are lost to rebel initiative. It was necessary to assign blame for the Jazbina Incident. I argued strongly that your design was to blame, but I was in the minority. Naval Command placed the blame on the ship's captain, a good man with many years of service in the Imperial fleet. I knew the man's father. And now his widow may be denied his pension, so please forgive me if I seem ill-tempered on this subject.

KDY's financial department has already advised us that the addition of any more weaponry to the Interdictor-class would be impractical. Let us simply hope that it fares better against starfighters in the future.

Yours sincerely,
