| It was a difficult thing to adjust to, being on a ship again. Not only was it being on a ship, but with people Mara had thought to be long gone from her life. Although, she had thought Leroy was gone from her life as well, but there they were; married, happy (despite the current situation), and expecting a baby. Generally, she was alright with change, but this was a lot of change all at once, and it felt overwhelming at times. Leroy had admitted his involvement with the Rebellion, Davon had turned back up, Rawls had blown back into their lives violently and with bad news, and now they were all flying through space in Rawls junker (the Dinty Moore- Mara still could not figure out what the hell kind of name that was) with the intention on getting the Aphelion back. Whether that would happen or not, and how violently, was yet to be seen.
To her credit, the incident with Rawls face running into her fist aside, Mara had been relatively calm about the entire situation. Leroy usually kept her calm, not due to anything he did, but simply by being there. Of course, she had moments about where she worried about what was happening in their immediate future, but that felt like it could be normal to her. The plan, so it seemed, was to help Rawls get the Aphelion back, ad then maybe they could move on. Where exactly, she wasn't sure; perhaps to fully join the Rebellion, perhaps elsewhere, but likely never back to Nar Shadda. Mara had come to terms with that fact ,besides, Nar Shadda was not the nicest or safest moon and it was definitely not a good place to start and raise a family- whether is was planned or not. With all of that in mind, Mara had successfully convinced herself that being on this ship, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, was going to turn out to be a good thing- for her, Leroy, and their baby.
The only real issue she was truly struggling with now, was actually the baby. Mara wondered constantly if she was a bad person for not wanting it. Leroy seemed so happy, but so far, she had felt absolutely no emotion connection to the baby. There had never been a time in her life that she had wanted children, or wanted to be married for that matter. Obviously, one of those had changed, so she wondered if the other would as well. There was a great deal of doubt in her mind about that. Children were messy, dirty, smelly, loud, and she was not sure that was something she could or would want to handle. The relationship she had been in prior to her stay on the Aphelion, had resulted in a pregnancy. It hadn't lasted long, and she miscarried, much to her relief, despite the awful situation that caused the miscarriage. Not that Mara wished for that to happen again, but so far, she felt nothing, so she could not convince herself that she would be sad about it, were the worst to happen. That fact, among other reasons, was why she still had not told Rawls and Davon about the littlest Ransom that she was carrying. This with Leroy, this relationship, their marriage, was different for her, so she thought that she should have at least felt happy about starting a family with him.
While Leroy was spending his time on the Dinty Moore, doing the Force knows what, Mara had kept mostly to herself in their private quarters, that Rawls had given them to stay in for the time being. She had tried to make it feel as much like home as possible, for the both of them. When she was ready, she would talk to Rawls, but that time had not come yet. At least Mara wasn't angry any more , nor was she upset, just indifferent. It had occurred to her, however, that maybe is she familiarized herself with the ship, she would feel differently about it all. There had been a few times that she had thought and even tried to go and talk to Davon, but he was not in his room or the galley, so she assumed he was in the cockpit, and she did not feel like going there. For now, that was just a personal preference.
Mara had spent enough time in that room; putting some of their holo photos on the dresser, folding and putting away their clothes (including his pink under shirts and socks), making the bed up with a quilt from their apartment, and putting their bags away. It was time, perhaps, and a short walk to the cargo bay and back or to the galley for a bottle of water wouldn't hurt. There was probably piloting and/or plotting going on, so there was a chance, but not a guarantee that she would not run into anyone. Except perhaps Leroy, who she never minded seeing.

| The Dinty Moore, also known as the Nerf Herder, was a cramped ship. At least, it was compared to the Aphelion and it's crew accommodations. As far as cargo space went, it was much larger. The hangar module was in fact able to house his ship, which he had loaded up with the arsenal stored within his safehouse on Nar Shaddaa. What he would do with The Horse That Death Rode would remain to be seen upon recovery of the Aphelion, but for now he was happy to have been able to keep his pride and joy.
He had spent his time since landing back onto the ship unloading The Horse and setting up an armory in the hangar module's cargo bay's secret compartment. He was for the most part done rather quickly, the armory at the safehouse having been a modular, pre-fabricated set up, he was practically able to pick up and set it back down within the Dinty Moore. He would go about to making sure everyone's weapons were in top shape, just like the old days. He would even probably sell off excess weapons whenever they made port next. Admiring his handywork, he sealed the secret hatch and walked into the engine room.
One of the benefits of spending so much time around Doohan was that he had actually picked up some engineering knowledge. Enough to piece together his ship into a combat capable and personally modified craft. Enough that he figured he would help out until they picked up a mechanic. He would at least be able to keep them in air, but pulling every ounce of performance out of the ship like Doohan used to be able to would likely be outside his ability. He checked the readings on the computer and then proceeded to walk his way into the shared bedroom he and Mara had. It was cramped for two people, but they would make it work. This arrangement would leave at least one of the suites for passangers... two if Rawls or Davon picked one of the regular rooms as well. He had not seen yet which room was Rawls' or Vanden's.
Nonetheless, they would try to do their part to save space as much as possible aboard the ship. Especially due to the secret they came aboard with. Two if they counted his own personal secret that he had yet to tell the crew. He had told Mara about his Alliance loyalties, and she was dealing with it as best as one could expect of her. He was yet to talk to her about though since their run from Nar Shaddaa. Whether or not she was truly handling it really remained to be seen.
With those thoughts running through his head as the ship seemed oddly silent, he went into their room. He did not speak, and in fact tried to be as quiet as possible. He simple walked up behind her after closing the door and placed his hands on her stomach, and leaned down to rest his head on her shoulders.

| "Hi" Mara said, her breath barely above a whisper as Leroy wrapped his arms around her. He had been so protective since she had told him that she was pregnant, more so than usual, so she was getting quite used to his massive hands on her abdomen, like he was trying to protect them both. Of course, she had not told him how she was feeling about having their child- she couldn't break his heart like that, and she feared that it would. Even if it was just her expressing how she felt. "I was just going to come and see you. Did you get everything sorted with you know....guns and grenades...and stuff?"
She used her fingertips and moved her red-streaked locks out of his way, so that he could rest his chin on her shoulder. Her gaze moved slowly around the room. It really wasn't as cramped as he thought, considering how small their apartment was, but it had probably seemed smaller when their bags were still packed and laying on the bed. Without them, the room was about the size of their bedroom in the Nar Shadda apartment. And of course, she had tried to make it a little more like home with things from their actual former home.
Mara thought to ask him about some more shooting practice. In the time they had been together, she had actually learned a fair bit, and was a decent shot, which she was sure would come in handy. What worried her was his reaction to her unasked question. Would he even let her off of the ship when it came time to get the Aphelion back? When it came right down to it, he really could not tell her what to do, and he knew that. She would help the best she could, and perhaps she would surprise a certain couple of crew members. When they had met her, she had never even held a weapon, let alone knew how to fire one.
"I was thinking about Aphelion and the getting her back part...." Mara started slowly. "I need some more target practice. It's been a few weeks, and I don't know what kind of situation we will end up in, but you know....better to be safe than sorry." She said. "And we probably need to figure out what we are going to do next...."

| "Yeah, we have an armory now. Just like the good ole' days..."
He paused. Saying that just didn't have the same feeling he thought it would. Perhaps it was how things went down when they all left the Aphelion. Perhaps it was the position they were in now. Those were good days to be sure, but the best of days had been his years on Nar Shaddaa living with his wife. She stood before him, as beautiful as ever. They had been through some hard times, this being one of them. He had no doubt that they would come out on the other side, just like they always had. Internally though, it was trying for him.
Many of the things he had done over the course of the past two years was not truly for himself, but to provide her a better life. Not the one she had lived or the one he had provided for, but the one she deserved. He felt like them standing here now, in the position they were in, he had failed her as a husband. He could mope about it or feel sorry for himself or mentally berate himself, which he did in private moments on occasion if he were perfectly honest. Instead, he used it as motivation to do better, and it gave him a fire to deliver to her what he thought she deserved. A place on Coruscant's upper levels and the ability to shop whenever she wanted sounded about right.
"Well, I could probably set up a makeshift firing range in the cargo hold. Could also do some practice whenever we hit planetside again," he said to her, focusing on her now rather than his thoughts.
"You mean, what we're going to do once we get the Aphelion back?"

| She nodded slowly in response to his question, though she wasn't really thinking about after the retrieved Aphelion. Mara was focused on the fact that he offered to make some sort of firing range, which meant he hadn't decided that he was totally opposed to her helping. Leroy knew she was capable, where she hadn't been before. There was always the possibility of him realizing what he had said, and where she would probably take his meaning to in her mind, and he would decide it was unsafe.
"Yes....yes I meant what we are going to do after we get the ship back." Mara finally said after she finally decided to not worry about actually getting the ship back for now. "I was thinking about what you told me before we left Nar Shadda...about the Rebellion..." He hadn't told her many details on it, but she wondered if maybe he couldn't tell her everything. "Maybe we should...you know...go there." Truthfully, she wasn't sure where 'there' was, or if 'there' was a constantly moving...well, she just honestly did not know how it worked. Hopefully he would tell her.
"I am just not sure that staying here is going to work."

| "I find it hard not to agree with you."
He thought about what she was thinking long and hard. He could usually read her pretty well but since she told him of her pregnancy it was honestly hard to get any sort of solid feeling from her. It was perhaps as much as sign of her mental state as it was his. Mara was a people person, and she just so happened to know a bit about being a medic and mechanic, but her primary skill set was through her charisma and frankly her looks. Frankly the Alliance was taking anyone that would join and they needed people with even some skilled abilities. Mara would fit in nicely, and it was a cause she would be able to get behind, even if she had largely been apathetic to the Civil War up to this point, at least to him. While he knew she was saying this only because of her knowledge of his involved with the Alliance, it nonetheless made him happy to hear the suggestion.
"I don't want you to fool yourself. It would be more stable than this... but depending on the circumstances we might be just as mobile. I also may or may not be able to be with at all times. You could join, and I could be told to remain on the [i[Aphelion. I could also transfer to Special Forces, but I would not always be at the same place you are."

| "I know all of that, Leroy. I am used to you being gone, remember? You always worked before, why would it be any different now?" She asked as she sat down on the edge of their bed. "We know how to be apart...but we always talk. I get that." Mara was a little annoyed that he had felt the need to point that out to her. "I am okay with it. What am I not sure I am okay with....is figuring out how to raise a baby alone." That was the first time she had admitted any kind of concern about her pregnancy to him.
"I've never even held a baby Leroy. I have no idea how to do this...or what to do. I mean....what if I drop it? Or what if it hates me and cries all the time? A nexxu would be a better mother than I am going to be. Especially alone...this kid would have a better chance with a nexxu." Mara looked at him, waiting for a reaction. While he would try to be comforting, most likely, she was sure it wouldn't abate her fears any. What Mara wasn't sure of, was what, if anything, Leroy knew about children...especially infants.
"I just don't feel like I am ready for anythjng like this. I never wanted it before, and I am not sure if I am now..."
