It was far too much work to attempt to track down a Jedi single-handedly; more work than one Inquisitor, or even a team of them, could hope to achieve. Thankfully, Intelligence served well enough, or as well as a non-Force branch could do, which was to say, quite a bit. One of the things Deschain had his little team working on was identifying 'miracles' or 'rumors of divine intervention' that were widely spread on any particular planet. Granted, there was a lot to search through, but certain key terms, phrases or events were singled out to draw focus. In its own way, it was like wiretapping: slow and tedious, but it often paid out. The downside were all the hoaxes one had to sift through.

There were reports of talking nerfs, a bantha that could levitate, even an account of a Jedi wielding a lightsaber and cutting apart an army of ghosts. The last one turned out to be false, of course; people too high on spice needed to keep their visions to themselves. However, there was one particular report that was flagged down out of Ord Ibanna. It wasn't widely spread, in terms of spreading to other worlds. However, it was making the rounds on Bespin and, unlike most tall tails, the details were similar in every respect, all centering back to one man and the events themselves, almost implausible to believe, rang with a shiver of the Force that caused Deschain to read through the rest of the report.

Three weeks prior, the man whom the stories centered around had fallen from a Tibanna platform. Normally, this would have been an uneventful death, save for the fact that a stranger, piloting a Whitecloak; a fact curious in itself as the white-painted Cloakshapes had been issued to Jedi before the Clone Wars and were now all but extinct, had flown after the man. Accounts varied after this fact, but it seemed that the pilot had flown down beside the falling man, cut the engines, opened the canopy and pulled the man in without a rope. From there, the pilot had flown back up to the platform and dropped off the grateful survivor. It was a situation that bore investigating.

A cross-reference of docked ships at that time, other than the Whitecloak, indicated a singular vessel: the Taloraan Sunrise. Tapping his finger to expand information on the ship, he saw it marked not a vehicle of war, or smuggling, but as a simple gas tanker. Sitting back to consider, he found it more and more plausible that the Jedi could have been hiding out on unassuming vessels for a long time now, going from ship to ship. Well, that sealed the deal. Tapping one of the Intelligence officers in the tracking room on the shoulder, Deschain leaned in close.

"I want an alert put out on the Taloraan Sunrise. Don't interdict it, but if any of our agents see it, I want its movements tracked and reported. Also, pass the word up to Naval High Command that I will require a Modular Taskforce Cruiser outfitted with an Inquisition module detached for my use."

Turning away, Deschain made to depart the room, then paused. "This man at Ord Ibanna. Send a team for him. I don't want him telling any more tales." When the officer looked questioningly at Deschain, the Inquisitor sighed. He despised having to make his point more clear. "Eliminate him." And with that, he was gone from the room.
